Kat Merewether's bestselling 'Kuwi's Huhu Hunt' has been translated into te reo Māori by Pānia Papa. The talented Pānia worked for 10 years as a lecturer of te reo Māori at the University of Waikato. She is currently Director of Takatū Associates Ltd. Pānia is fluent in Māori and English, with a passion for language, learning and teaching.
'Te Hua Tuatahi a Kuwi’ was the first Kuwi book to be translated by Pānia Papa. In 2016 this won the Children’s Choice Award at the New Zealand Book Awards (for children and young adults).
